  • Steve Giraldi

    Launchpad hired Steve Giraldi as a creative director. At the New York-based agency, Giraldi will lead creative duties on the shop's Jambu, Fairpoint Communications and Shmaltz Brewing Company accounts. He will report to Noah Ross, partner and executive creative director. Giraldi has spent 13 years in the business, working on campaigns for Hershey's, Fidelity, Converse, Mike's Hard Lemonade and Comcast. He joins Launchpad from Digitas where he was a creative director for its New York office. Prior to that, Giraldo was associate creative director at Arnold Worldwide and Gotham.

    Catch New York hired Jason Dorin as its first managing director. Previously a consultant with Catch New York's new data science, technology and innovation practice, Dorin is now responsible for all client services at the agency. He reports to agency co-founders, Arie Kovant, Joseph Perello and Doug Spitzer. Prior to Catch, Dorin was global business director at Tribal DDB Worldwide, partner at Rebel Digital, and regional account director at Saatchi & Saatchi. Dorin was group business director at Nitro, where he first worked with Kovant and Spitzer. In the past, Dorin has worked with clients such as P&G, Mars, ConAgra, Ameriprise, Visa and J & J.
  • Rob Rex
    MARC USA

    MARC USA tapped Rob Rex as senior vice president/director of digital strategy, a new position at the agency. He joins the agency from Digitas LBi. Rex will play a senior role on agency accounts including Rite Aid and Payless ShoeSource and he will also build a multidisciplinary team. His focus for clients will be in developing performance-based acquisition strategies across all target audiences. "Rob fills a vital role in our digital offering, bringing a new expertise and capability to our clients who want to see every dollar spent in the digital channel have an impact on ROI," said Michele Fabrizi, CEO of MARC USA. "His approach combines best-in-class skills in data and media to drive performance." Previously, Rex has worked on brands like Liberty Mutual Insurance, Comcast, GSK, Sovereign Bank, Harvard Business School, TripAdvisor, Motorola, Nextel, Qualcomm and Unisys.

    Tribal Worldwide hired Kyle Snarr as head of client development and marketing, based in New York. Snarr will be responsible for all new business activities including prospecting, consultant relationships, and pitch management. He will report to Richard Guest, U.S. president of Tribal Worldwide. Most recently, Snarr served as director of new business for Struck. While there, he led winning pitches for a range of clients including Jack in the Box, Lennar, Quaker, Disney, ASICS and Hulu. Prior to leading new business at Struck, Snarr was responsible for managing its digital production as executive producer of interactive.

    Grupo Gallegos promoted Juan Oubina to executive creative director, based at the company's headquarters in Huntington Beach, CA. He joined the agency in 2005 as a creative director and will report to John Gallegos, CEO of Grupo Gallegos. At Grupo Gallegos, Oubina has been credited for driving some of the agency's best content ideas including the music work for Energizer, Milk Bedtime Stories and the Valvoline English webisodes. In his new role, Juan will continue to oversee a group of accounts, including JCPenney. Prior to joining Grupo Gallegos, Oubina was an associate creative director at Casanova Pendrill. "Juan has played an integral role in many of our agency's most lauded campaigns including work for Energizer, Milk and Comcast," said John Gallegos, CEO of Grupo Gallegos.
