  • Ted Lim
    Dentsu Asia Pacific
    Ted Lim was promoted to chief creative officer of Dentsu Asia Pacific (excluding Japan). Most recently, Lim led Dentsu's creative output for Southeast Asia. Lim will now work with more than 20 offices across 10 countries. Before joining Dentsu in 2013, Lim was executive creative director and deputy chairman at Naga DDB Malaysia and chief creative officer at Leo Burnett Singapore. In his first 18 months at Dentsu, Lim helped win more than 20 pitches across the region including Uniqlo, Dulux, Panasonic, Coca-Cola and Yamaha. "Ted has done a great job in building a culture of creativity and innovation in Southeast Asia and will now will bring those skills to an even bigger job across the region," said Rohit Ohri, CEO of Dentsu Asia Pacific (ex Japan).
  • Susie Nam and Dan Gonda
    Droga5
    Droga5 New York promoted Susie Nam from general manager and head of accounts, to chief operating officer. In addition, Dan Gonda was elevated from group account director to head of account management. Nam joined Droga5 in 2009 as group account director, following stints at Fallon and Deutsch. She was promoted to head of account management after six months and general manager three years later in 2013. As COO, a new position at the agency, Nam will be responsible for overseeing all operations at Droga5 New York. Gonda joined the agency in 2013 as group account director after nearly three years as vice president/management director at Saatchi & Saatchi New York. He has worked across several brands including Newcastle Brown Ale, Prudential, Smirnoff, Malibu, Ragu, Trident and Capri Sun, among others. At Droga5, Gonda will oversee a variety of accounts.
  • Amy Durbin

    Eric Mower + Associates named Amy Durbin as partner/executive media director. Durbin is charged with leading the entire media department across the agency's offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, New York City, Charlotte, Atlanta and Cincinnati. Her responsibilities include work on digital media strategy, digital consulting and media planning and buying. Durbin joined the agency from Spark, a Chicago-based media agency and division of Starcom Mediavest Group, where she was vice president and media director. While there, she was responsible for the digital media strategy and buying for clients like Kao Brands, REI and Starbucks. "Amy's experience and qualifications are exactly what we were looking for at EMA," said Doug Bean, chief operating officer of Eric Mower + Associates. "We're confident that she will lead the charge and integrate top-notch digital experiences into our clients' plans."

    Erwin Penland
    Erwin Penland hired Alex Lea as senior vice president/executive creative director. Lea will work out of the agency's New York office, relocating from Boulder, Colo. Lea joins Erwin Penland from CP+B, where most recently served as creative director. Prior to that, he was a creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi NY and Droga5. Lea has created work for clients including Microsoft Xbox, MIllerCoors, Kraft, General Mills and Puma. At Erwin Penland, Lea will handle creative for L.L.Bean and Denny's. In addition to creative responsibilities, he will work on new business efforts. Lea will report to Con Williamson, chief creative officer of Erwin Penland. "Alex is one of the good ones... a major creative talent, but more importantly just a majorly awesome person," said Williamson. "As we continue to grow, that combination of smart creative thinkers/folks you just wanna hang out with, is gonna be what helps Erwin Penland stay focused on success."

    WONGDOODY Seattle hired Adam Nowak as creative director for Amazon. Nowak joins the agency from FCB LA, where he served as senior vice president and group creative director. At FCB LA, Nowak helped lead a global brand overhaul for Levi's and helped drive Taco Bell's "Live Mas" rebranding inatiative. Prior to that, Nowak was a senior copywriter at TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles where he contributed to Gatorade's "Replay" campaign, among others. He began his career as a copywriter at DDB Chicago, working on global campaigns for McDonald's and Dell. "I've admired Tracy [Wong, Wongdoody's chariman and co-founder] and WONGDOODY for a long time -- they're smart, fast, fun, and it feels like a family," said Nowak. "I can't wait to be part of that family, and to help lead the Amazon account moving forward."
