  • Keith Pieper
    IMM
Full-service digital shop IMM continues to expand its technical leadership and practice by naming Keith Pieper to the newly created role of vice president, technology. In this role, he is responsible for leading efforts across a variety of technical initiatives including programmatic, cross-device attribution, viewability, ad blocking, tracking and privacy. He reports to Ken O'Brien, senior vice president, applied sciences and technology. He is based in Boulder, CO and currently works horizontally across all departments and clients. He'll be hiring a team in the near future. Pieper joins IMM from video advertising platform SpotXchange, where he served as director of product management. He has also spent time at Universal McCann and created one of the ad industry’s first agency trading desks now known as Cadreon. IMM’s technology-enabled approach is what attracted Pieper to the opportunity. "IMM has created a new model of an 'ad agency,' managing digital media (paid, earned and owned) holistically down the funnel for clients with a hybrid compensation model that encourages business results while being grounded in accountability," he says. "[They have a] strong history of tackling large technical challenges and opportunities, often building technical solutions years before the market. This forward-looking approach and aggressive goal to transform the business and flexibility to test and learn made it an offer I couldn’t refuse."

"I see Matt as a benchmark for next generation creative leadership and a huge part of the way forward at CP+B," said Watson. "As I also see it, 'smarts' is the new creative.
