  • Liz Paradise
    McKinney
    McKinney promoted Liz Paradise from group creative director to executive creative director. In her new role, Paradise will continue leading the creative on the Nationwide account, while aiding the agency with new creative opportunities. With more than two decades as an award-winning copywriter and creative director at McKinney, Paradise has won awards for work on Karastan, Audi, Polaris and EAS. She has served as a judge at Cannes, the One Show and Art Directors Club award shows. In early 2015, she led the team behind Nationwide's Super Bowl spot, starring Mindy Kaling. "Liz is one of the most kick-ass creative leaders in the business," said Jonathan Cude, chief creative officer at McKinney. "I am regularly impressed with her ability to lead the creative process in a way that delivers smart solutions to complex business problems. As ECD, and as someone who has spent her career mentoring, Liz will also be able to build agency-wide initiatives motivating creatives to continue to do the best work of their lives." Added Paradise: "I want to keep the energy up so that people are pumped to do great work day in and day out. Part of that is finding ways to mix it up -- to work more nimbly, try new approaches to ideation and experiment with team structure."
  • Matt Ashworth and David Kim

    Argonaut hired Matt Ashworth to executive creative director and promoted David Kim to executive creative director. The pair will report to Rick Condos and Hunter Hindman, chief creative officers of the San Francisco-based agency. Ashworth and Kim will handle creative for clients like Cricket Wireless, Fitbit, Hershey and MetLife. A freelancer, Ashworth has more than 20 years of experience, working for Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Hal Riney & Partners, Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners and The Martin Agency. He has created award-winning work for Jeep, TD Ameritrade, Chevrolet, HP, Appleton Estate Rum and Fitbit. Kim has more than 12 years of creative agency experience, working at Deutsch, Venables Bell & Partners and TBWA\Chiat\Day, among others. While at Deutsch, Kim oversaw all digital efforts on Volkswagen. Prior to Deutsch, Kim helped pitch and win the Intel business while at VB&P, where he helped create "The Chase" video. "Argonaut continues to grow and evolve since we opened our doors two and a half years ago," said Hindman. "Matt and DK have been with us since the beginning, both have been tremendous contributors to our success and will continue to be creative leaders that drive us forward."

    Adam Kerj was named chief creative officer of McCann Worldgroup's Nordic agencies, based out of McCann Stockholm. Most recently, Kerj was chief creative officer of JWT New York, a position he held since 2014. Prior to JWT NY, Kerj worked at 360i New York as the company's first US chief creative officer. Before that, he was executive creative director and founding partner at Saatchi & Saatchi Sweden. "Talent is everything. And when you have the opportunity to bring back somebody as skilled as Adam to one of the most creative regions in the world, you sure as hell take it," said Rob Reilly, global creative chairman, McCann Worldgroup.
  • Will Elliott and Justin Moore
    Goodby Silverstein & Partners
    Goodby Silverstein & Partners promoted creative directors Will Elliott and Justin Moore to associate partners. Elliott joined the agency in 2001 from the Creative Circus. He works predominantly on Adobe and Cisco. For Adobe, he helped create a new antibullying emoji, which is part of the "I Am a Witness" campaign, and "Dream On," which celebrates 25 years of Photoshop. Throughout his career at GS&P, Elliott has worked on all the agency's major clients, including HP, Hyundai, Netflix and Haagen-Dazs. Justin Moore joined GS&P from BBH London in 2012. He has managed creative on the Cisco account for the last three years, developing the "Connected Billboard" and "IoE Machine" for Cisco's "Internet of Everything" campaign. Moore now handles creative on the Marmot account. "Will and Justin have demonstrated great vision and mentorship as creative directors," said Margaret Johnson, executive creative director and partner at GS&P. "Promoting each of them to associate partner will allow them to bring those same leadership qualities to the entire agency."

    TBWA\Paris tapped Benjamin Marchal and Faustin Claverie as executive creative directors. The pair will lead 110 creatives of the agency. Marchal started his career in 2004 as an art director at DDB. He remained at the agency for eight years, working on clients such as INPES Tabac, l'Equipe, Greenpeace, Lipton Yellow and VoyagesSNCF.com. He then joined BBDO, creating campaigns for La Redoute, Mercedes, Guy Cotten and Audi. Most recently, he served as executive creative director at Fred & Farid. Claverie began his career in 2001 at V, working on Volkswagen, 9telecom and 118 218. In 2006, he joined DDB and worked on Nike, Brandt, GQ and Audi. In 2010, Claverie joined Mother UK working on Stella Artois and HTC. Most recently, he was creative director at Wieden Kennedy Amsterdam, heading the global Heineken account.
