    Ogilvy & Mather London (O&M London) named Mick Mahoney as chief creative officer to lead the agency's creative output across its client portfolio in the UK. He will report to CEO, Charlie Rudd. Mahoney, most recently executive creative director at RKCR/Y&R, previously worked as executive creative director at Havas Worldwide London. Prior to that, he was creative director at BBH London, where he worked with Rudd. Mahoney has created work for brands like Vodafone, Land Rover, Unilever and Johnnie Walker. He has won more than 150 industry awards, including a Cannes Grand Prix, 4 Gold Lions, 6 Silver Lions, a One Show Best In Show, 5 D&AD Silvers, and 5 BTAA Golds. "Mick is a rare creative talent," said Rudd. "Not only is he driven by the quality of the output and making all the work better but he is equally creative in thinking about how agencies need to change to stay relevant to clients' changing needs. I can't wait to partner with him again."

    Leo Burnett USA named Marcello Magalhaes as chief strategy officer. Magalhaes most recently served as a partner and vice president of strategic planning at Leo Burnett Tailor Made in Sao Paulo. In his new position, Magalhaes will partner with Leo Burnett CEO Rich Stoddart to drive the strategic direction of the U.S. agency and oversee the agency's strategy department. He will also serve as the global strategy lead on McDonald's and work across the agency's portfolio of clients. In Sao Paulo, Magalhaes worked with brands including Samsung, Fiat-Chrysler (FCA), Brasil Kirin, Carrefour, Disney and Jeep. He succeeds Mick McCabe, who was named global chief strategy officer for sister Publicis Communications agency, Publicis Worldwide. "During his five years at Leo Burnett Tailor Made, Marcello's proved that he can rightly guide clients, grow an agency and inspire employees," said Stoddart. "He's what our agency and clients need today. He was a change agent in Brazil, and I know he'll bring that same mentality and passion to Chicago."

    Publicis Worldwide named Mick McCabe as global chief strategy officer. He was previously chief strategy officer of Leo Burnett USA. McCabe joins the agency in March and will be based in Publicis Worldwide's New York office. He replaces Dylan Williams, who is leaving Publicis Worldwide to pursue new entrepreneurial ventures. McCabe will also be part of the Publicis New York management team. He will work closely with Carla Serrano, former chief strategy officer and newly appointed CEO of Publicis New York and Andrew Bruce, CEO of North America. McCabe has been with sister Publicis Communication agency Leo Burnett since 2012, working on Allstate, Esurance, Marshalls, McDonald's, Nintendo and Samsung. Prior to Leo Burnett, he held chief strategy roles at KBS and Deutsch. "I am truly excited about the strategic leadership and experience that Mick brings to Publicis Worldwide," said Arthur Sadoun, global CEO of Publicis Worldwide and Publicis Communications. "He is a global talent and I am confident that he will be an excellent addition to the North American and global management team."

    Creative agency mono named Steve Lynch to the newly created director of communications strategy at its Minneapolis office. Connection strategy is a new area of expertise at mono designed to help the agency "translate our creative ideas into inspiring communications plans & consumer experiences," with Lynch helping to build its capabilities, grow its expertise, and expand its channel-planning practice. Lynch joins mono from Olson, where he led the company's connections strategy discipline and worked with clients such as General Mills' yogurt division, McDonald's, Belize Tourism and Bissell. Before Olson, he spent six years at Mithun working with such clients as General Mills' Nature Valley Granola Bars and Pop Secret Popcorn. In 2015, mono's revenue grew 50% with key wins among national brands including Sperry, Propel, The North Face, Mozilla Firefox, Advance Auto Parts and SunChips. Most recently, mono was named AOR for handbag and accessories brand Vera Bradley. Moreover, talent growth was up 34% and the agency opened up an office in San Francisco. "This move reinforces our mission to provide the highest level of innovative and design-centric creative work for clients who are ready to break through category conventions," said Jim Scott, founder, managing partner, mono.

    Deutsch named Trevor O'Brien as Partner, chief technology officer in New York, and promoted Pam Scheideler to partner, chief digital officer in LA. O'Brien will report to Winston Binch, chief digital officer, and to NY CEO, Val DiFebo. He will lead the office's technology team, working across all accounts. In addition to client work, O'Brien will focus on building partnerships and new ventures with the tech start-up communities in both New York and Silicon Valley. Most recently, O'Brien was co-founder and technologist at The Experiment, a small design and technology studio. "I'm extremely excited to be part of the Deutsch team again, they are always moving forward, testing boundaries, and have an intense entrepreneurial vibe," said O'Brien. "We'll continue to be makers, investors, entrepreneurs and inventors and that's just on Mondays." Scheideler, who joined Deutsch in 2013, will continue reporting to Binch. Promoted from executive director of digital, she will lead the LA digital team, developing products that have never been made before, as well as focusing on social business growth. At Deutsch, she has led development on key marketing efforts, including Taco Bell's ecommerce platform, Ta.co. Prior to Deutsch, Scheideler was the head of production and operations at Google Creative Lab where she led both video and interactive production for advertising campaigns and product innovations. "Pam is a force of nature, an indispensable digital talent, and one of the smartest people that I know," said Binch. "She's been my right hand for years and has been key to the LA office's tremendous success. Having her at the top level of the company is going to give both digital and the agency rocket boosters."
