Brent Choi Appointed CCO, JWT NY And Canada

J. Walter Thompson has appointed Brent Choi chief creative officer, JWT New York and Canada.

Previously Choi was chief creative and integration officer for J. Walter Thompson Canada. He is taking on the added New York responsibilities as Adam Kerj departs the agency for what it termed were personal reasons. Kerj was appointed to the NY CCO spot about a year ago.

Choi is credited with helping to turn around the Canadian operation over a three-year period. During that time, the agency said, Canada has become “one of the network’s best-performing [operations] in the world,” having added clients including Air Canada, Grand Marnier and Burger King.

For the New York office, Choi will oversee creative work for clients such as Macy’s, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg’s Special K and Puma.

Choi will report to Matt Eastwood, Worldwide chief creative officer for the J. Walter Thompson Company.
