Samsonite Pitches Nostalgic Travel To Drive Excitement

Summer is coming — and it's a perfect time for Samsonite to announced it's newest TV-social media campaign: "Travel Like Your Parents."

The Iris agency created a spot that marries nostalgia with adventure. It is all about the journey, accompanied by Samsonite luggage. The imagery, from the 1970s, evokes youth and excitement. The pitch: Imagine your parents when they were young and carefree.
The ad encourages people to disconnect from digital phones and embrace the spirit of wanderlust. Unplug and experience the freedom of travel.
And to aid that endeavor, Samsonite provides suitcases, backpacks and travel organizers. The brand's ethos — durability and functionality — is a byword for the 123-year-old company.

"Traveling has always been a transformative experience, and we believe that the journeys our parents took were filled with a sense of wonder and discovery," said Nicole Adriance, senior director of brand marketing at Samsonite. "Through our summer campaign, we aim to inspire travelers to tap into that same spirit and create their own remarkable memories.

The campaign runs in North America.
