Visit Tampa Bay Heats Up Gulf Coast Travel

Visit Tampa Bay  kicked off its latest summer campaign, which showcases the attractions of Florida's Gulf Coast.

Created by FKQ Advertising + Marketing, the ads run through August in Atlanta, Orlando and Miami-Fort Lauderdale, targeting both English and Spanish-speaking audiences.

The cross-platform campaign highlights major partners, including Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, The Florida Aquarium, Glazer Children’s Museum, Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI), Tampa Bay History Center, Straz Center for the Performing Arts and ZooTampa at Lowry Park.

Each year, 25 million people visit Hillsborough County, on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Digital OOH are placed in retail spaces and casual dining restaurants. Shared ad placements include bulletins along major highways in Orlando, while street furniture in Miami focuses on popular neighborhoods, such as Brickell, Coral Gables, and Little Havana. Also 48 buses with routes in Buckhead and other upscale areas in Atlanta carry OOH ads.

The sights and sounds of Tampa Bay are showcased on 30-second commercials on connected TV systems. Also, digital ads targeting mobile devices and social media platforms will allow viewers to search for more information and buy attraction tickets.

Gas station videos, in English and Spanish, alert drivers that Tampa Bay is close by. A fleet of wrapped Uber and Lyft vehicles will drive around Atlanta and Miami.

Santiago C. Corrada, president-CEO of Visit Tampa Bay, said: "Summer vacations are a special time for families to get away and make memories of a lifetime. Tampa Bay offers something for everyone to enjoy."

Ads encourage the purchase of the Tampa Bay CityPASS and the Tampa Riverwalk Attraction Pass for discounts on destination options.

Visit Tampa Bay will launch an out-of-state campaign in January 2024.

FKQ serves as the AOR for various brands, including Bozzuto’s Inc., Dollar Car Rental, Essilor and Hertz Car Rental.
