General Motors, Maserati Add To Marketing Teams

General Motors is adding a global chief media officer to its executive marketing team, a new position.

Shenan Reed joined the automaker Jan. 22 from L’Oréal, where she spent the last three and a half years as senior vice president, head of media.

Her career also has included the agency side. She spent nearly three years as president, chief client officer, at Publicis Groupe in New York, where she was the global client lead for Verizon. Earlier in her career, Reed was the founder and and chief media officer at Morpheus Media, where she spent 13 years.

Reed says she looks forward to working with her new GM colleagues to “develop our global media community and build on your already powerful drivetrain,” according to GM Authority, which first broke the story about Reed’s arrival at the automaker.

She is based in New York and reports to CMO Norm de Greve, who joined the company from CVS Health in July.

Meanwhile, Maserati North America has a new head of marketing.

Lindsay Fifelski joins the Stellantis luxury brand from another of its divisions.

Fifelski was most recently Dodge advertising and social media manager, a role she had for two years.  She previously spent nearly three years at another Stellantis luxury brand, Alfa Romeo.

She also brings agency experience to the table, having spent four years as an account supervisor at Zubi Advertising, where she worked on national multicultural advertising and partnerships for Ford Motor Co. Fifelski also spent a year at McCann and nearly seven years at GTB.

She replaces and reports to Kelly MacDonald, who was elevated from CMO to CEO in December. Fifelski’s title is not CMO but is “head of marketing,” according to a Maserati spokesperson.
