Beatriz is a seasoned health care marketing, advertising, and communications strategy leader with more than 20 years of experience. She specializes in reaching Hispanic, African-American, and other diverse communities. She’s an expert in leveraging consumer insights and cultural competency to craft marketing strategies for hospitals, pharmaceuticals, and health insurers. 

Her recent experience includes interim vice president of Marketing for Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles, Director of Multicultural Strategy for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, and ownership of ad agency HispanAmérica Health.

Aside from health care marketing, Beatriz has extensive experience in categories including retailing, financial services, lottery and casino gaming, CPG, and beauty products. Agency partnership experience includes global ad agencies, such as DDB, RAPP, Clive Davis & Mann, Footsteps Group, other Omnicom Group agencies in the US and Latin America, as well as Ogilvy CommonHealth.

Beatriz is Hispanic and African-American in heritage, and global in her cultural outlook. She’s a strong multilingual communicator, and an experienced speaker and leadership trainer. As an activist in bringing health and wellness to diverse communities, Beatriz is dedicated to “getting to zero” health disparities throughout the healthcare system, and supporting the best possible outcomes for all patients.
