  • Vonage
    In Review
    There are five agencies still competing for Vonage's estimated $50 million account. They are: Arnold Worldwide; Carat; Mullen; Lowe, teamed up with Avenue A/Razorfish; and Starcom MediaVest and SMG Direct.
  • Vaseline
    J. Walter Thompson
    Creative duties for Unilever's Vaseline Intensive Care brand have moved to J. Walter Thompson, New York. McCann Erickson Worldwide, New York, previously handled the account. The account is estimated at $21 million.
  • Pampers
    In Review
    Procter & Gamble has placed the interactive marketing portion of its Pampers account into review. Bridge Worldwide, Cincinnati, the incumbent agency, will not participate in the review.
  • General Motors
    In Review
    General Motors has placed its estimated $700 million European media planning and buying account in review. Universal McCann and Initiative Media handle the majority of the account.
  • Monster
    directDeutsch
    Monster has selected directDeutsch as its direct agency of record. After a four-month review, Deutsch's direct division will be responsible for all of Monster's CRM initiatives. Billings were undisclosed. General and interactive duties were awarded to Deutsch and iDeutsch in July 2003.
  • Chase
    mcgarrybowen
    Chase, a division of JPMorgan Chase, has selected mcgarrybowen as its agency of record for its U.S. retail and credit card businesses. The agency will help Chase develop its brand image. Spending is estimated at $300 million.
  • Logan's Roadhouse
    Adamson Advertising
    Adamson Advertising has been named agency of record for Nashville, Tenn.-based Logan's Roadhouse restaurant chain. Adamson will provide a complete brand development for the chain, including all advertising media, freestanding inserts and in-store point-of-sale and promotional materials, signs, and menu inserts. Spending was not disclosed.
  • Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
    Republik
    After a three-month review, the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Fayetteville, N.C. has named the Republik, Durham, to handle its cultural heritage tourism program. The six-figure budget will target both convention business and tourists, and consist of online and print components. The incumbent, Hodges Associates, of Fayetteville, continues to handle other Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau assignments.
  • SmartWool Corp.
    TDA Advertising & Design
    SmartWool Corp. has parted ways with Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, Sausalito, Calif. and assigned all positioning, advertising, and design duties for its spring 2005 campaign to TDA Advertising & Design. The budget is undisclosed, and consists of both consumer and trade advertising.
