    Wal-Mart has narrowed its search for an agency to handle its creative, media and interactive chores down to five. They are: Ogilvy & Mather; GSD&M; Draft FCB Group; Saatchi & Saatchi and The Martin Agency. The work is estimated at $570 million.
  • Safeway

    Safeway has narrowed its broadcast and media creative agency search down to three, having eliminated Y&R from the review. DDB, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Euro RSCG remain in contention.

  • Southern California Honda
    In Review
    Southern California Honda has placed its $50 million advertising account in review. Vying for the account are The Cimarron Group; Mendelsohn/Zien; Ground Zero; Siltanen & Partners; Secret Weapon Marketing and Open Minds.
  • Starwood Hotels
    Atmosphere BBDO
    Starwood Hotels and Resorts has named Atmosphere BBDO its digital agency of record for its Luxury Collection group of hotels and resorts. The web-based program will include branding and transactional programs and is expected to debut later this year.

    Extra Space Storage has selected Thunder Factory as its direct response firm.
  • J. Paul Getty Trust
    M&C Saatchi
    The J. Paul Getty Trust has chosen M&C Saatchi LA as its advertising agency. LaPlanca Cohen previously handled the account. Budget is estimated in the low seven figures.
  • Beck's
    Ground Zero
    Ground Zero has been selected to handle global creative chores for Beck's beer, estimated at $40 million.
