    PODS, Portable On Demand Storage, selected The Richards Group as its agency of record, following a national review. The agency will handle strategic planning and creative development, which includes TV and print elements, slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2009.

    McCann Worldgroup
    Applebee's consolidated its marketing and media planning and buying chores with McCann Worldgroup. Starcom previously handled media planning and buying on the $75 million advertising account.

    Strawberry Frog was awarded global digital duties on Procter & Gamble's Pampers brand.

    Toy
    The American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science has named Toy New York as its agency of record. Toy New York will develop an integrated branding initiative and digital agency Big Spaceship will redesign the Americana Committee Web site.

    Kettle Foods named Cultivator Advertising & Design as its first advertising agency of record. Budget is undisclosed. Advertising, breaking in October, will target natural and gourmet consumers.

    The O Group was named global design agency of record for Belvedere Vodka, a subsidiary of LVMH. The O Group has been working with the brand team on special projects for several years, and is now charged with global design, merchandising and below-the-line marketing.
