  • Lufthansa
    In review
    Lufthansa placed its global media account, estimated at $100 million, in review. Mindshare currently handles the work.
  • Various Kraft brands
    mcgarrybowen
    Kraft Foods tapped mcgarrybowen to handle creative chores on three brands: Chips Ahoy, Fig Newtons and Nabisco 100-Calorie Packs. Draftfcb New York previously handled the work.
  • Applegate Farms
    Looney Advertising
    Applegate Farms, manufacturer of organic convenience deli meat, has chosen Looney Advertising & New Media, in partnership with Electric Vine Interactive, to handle all corporate communications including branding, strategic planning, creative development, digital development and media planning. Billings are estimated at $5 million for 2011.
  • California Lottery
    In review
    The California Lottery placed its advertising account in review. Up for grabs is a five-year contract, worth an estimated $30 million annually, with the possibility for a two-year extension. BBDO West and PHD, the incumbent creative and media agencies, respectively, will defend.
  • New Balance
    Arnold
    Arnold was tapped to handle creative chores on New Balance's $12 million advertising account. Both BBDO and Mother previously handled the work.
  • Explore Minnesota Tourism
    Colle+McVoy
    Colle+McVoy was named agency of record for Explore Minnesota Tourism, the state agency responsible for promoting travel in Minnesota. The agency will handle strategic planning, advertising, media planning, online/electronic marketing, social marketing, promotional materials and public relations.
  • Mitsubishi
    180 Los Angeles and Schematic
    Mitsubishi tapped 180 Los Angeles to handle its North American creative chores. Traffic previously handled the account. In addition, Schematic was awarded digital work for the brand.
  • Nationwide
    Bailey Lauerman
    Nationwide hired Bailey Lauerman to handle its Midwest Region Agent Marketing Co-ops. The agency will provide account management, media planning and buying and other marketing services. Bailey Lauerman assumes responsibility for the brand's Midwest region, including Nationwide's home territory of Ohio.
  • Saab Spyker Automobiles and 1-800 CONTACTS
    Ingenuity Media
    Ingenuity Media was named media buying and planning agency of record for Saab Spyker Automobiles. McCann Erikson/Detroit, who has handled creative and strategic planning duties since 2007, selected Ingenuity to be its new media partner. Starcom handled media duties until Saab left the GM family last month. In addition, 1-800 CONTACTS tapped Ingenuity Media to handle media buying and planning chores. The Martin Agency is 1-800 CONTACTS' agency of record and the media portion was awarded to Ingenuity without a review.
