  • MGM National Harbor
    R&R Resources+
    R&R Resources+ was tapped to lead brand marketing efforts for MGM National Harbor, a $1.3 billion gaming resort under development in Prince George's County, Maryland. The project is scheduled to open in the second half of 2016. The agency will focus on diversity marketing, corporate social responsibility and workforce strategy, assisting MGM Resorts International (MGM) in developing minority outreach and partnerships in the capital region. As a minority investor in R&R Resources+, R&R Partners will assist the MGM National Harbor project. R&R Partners is also MGM's media agency of record and manages branding for the company's M Life customer rewards program. "We are excited to partner with the agency, as we build MGM National Harbor into a world-class destination resort serving Prince George's County, Maryland, the DMV region and the world," said Bill Boasberg, general manger of MGM National Harbor. "MGM National Harbor will be the crown jewel of the capital region resort corridor and it is an honor to be a part of this project," said Billy Vassiliadis, CEO of R&R Partners.

    R2C Group
    R2C Group was named creative and media agency for Blinds.com, following a pitch. The agency will handle TV brand strategy, TV creative, TV production and broadcast media planning and buying. "During the agency selection process, we wanted to find a partner that possessed great storytelling abilities while staying committed to helping us see real results for our business," said Jay Steinfeld, founder and CEO of Blinds.com. "R2C Group has not only been a strong creative asset for our team, but shares our passion for experimentation and data-driven testing that will help us continue along our path of success." First work from the agency is a TV spot where parents are terrified about replacing their old blinds. Their daughter explains that the process can be simple, as well as enjoyable. The initial offer in the spot included a "Buy Two, Get The Third Free" promotion, along with a "SureThing" Guarantee. "We are thrilled to be working with Blinds.com to drive traffic, increase sales, and help create overall success," said Michelle Cardinal, co-founder and CEO of R2C Group. Blinds.com spent $3.1 million on measured media in 2013 and $3.5 million in 2014, according to Kantar Media.

    Elevator
    Elevator, a Carlsbad-based agency, has been tasked with redesigning the City of San Diego's website: www.sandiego.gov. The agency will also develop a new brand style guide for the City. The new site is slated to launch in early 2016. "We are privileged to work with the City of San Diego on their website redesign," said Frank Cowell, president of Elevator. "We are excited to design a website that will be approachable, streamlined and informative, while meeting the diverse needs of all San Diegans, businesses and tourists alike."
  • New York Racing Association, GreenWorks Tools and Ricoh US
    Harmelin Media
    Harmelin Media added media planning and buying duties for New York Racing Association, GreenWorks Tools and Ricoh US. For the New York Racing Association, Harmelin Media will handle media research, planning, buying and reporting in an effort to to introduce NYRA to a new generation of horseplayers and racing fans through traditional and new media platforms. Harmelin will be working with GreenWorks Tools to support the company's 80 Volt campaign with partner agency Tattoo Projects. The 80 Volt campaign promotes the world's first 80 Volt powered lawn equipment. Media placement will include display, search and print. Ricoh, a global manufacturer of large scale office hardware and IT solutions, tasked Harmelin to provide media support for conferences and conventions. Harmelin will be placing outdoor, digital and print media for Ricoh.

    Kahn Media was named agency of record for The Coker Group, a series of automotive aftermarket companies that manufacture and sell tires, wheels and accessories for collector vehicles. Coker Group’s brands include Coker Tire, Wheel Vintiques, Specialty Wheel, Roadster Wire Wheels, and Phoenix Race Tires, along with the Honesty Charley Speed Shop, Coker Cycle Company and The Great Race. The agency has been tapped to create a campaign to elevate brand visibility, support customers and promote products and events.
