Just an Online Minute... One More Ad Exchange

  • by October 20, 2000
Despite all the stories we've heard about online advertising exchanges struggling for acceptance by the industry, more and more of them seem to be popping up all over the cyber landscape. Just today, a company called AdBuySell.com - www.adbuysell.com - is introducing its new Internet Advertising Marketplace.

Of course, the official announcement is filled with phrases like "revolutionizing the exchange of media with a direct and consolidated connection between unlimited web publishers and advertisers," and "closing the gap between media sellers and buyers by eliminating the high cost of a network middleman and dramatically increasing their reach for more effective buying and selling opportunities," and "the marketplace has already received tremendous interest from many nationally recognized web publishers and advertisers," and "truly the first win-win solution that is driving the best possible price for both the media seller and buyer."

So why am I telling you this? Well, these guys claim to be much cheaper.

"The ability to participate in a non-exclusive manner with no up-front costs is attracting countless web publishers and advertisers, thus allowing us to charge such a minimal transaction fee to sellers of 6-15%, depending upon the service level," says Steve Vetica, Product Marketing Manager at AdBuySell. "I know that you will find that our fees are much lower than those charged by many of the leading ad networks and other media selling services."

As always, this is not an endorsement of the company, but rather a recommendation for you to check them out and let me know what you think.
