Target says it is opening 27 new stores in the coming week--welcome news amid gloomy reports from most retailers. Of those, 21 are general merchandise stores, which have about 128,000 square feet, and
include its first two stores ever in Hawaii.
Also opening this week are six new SuperTargets, including three in Texas, which have about 186,000 square feet.

news, the Minneapolis-based Target will be the exclusive retailer for a new three-disc set from Prince later this month, a set which will include "LOtUSFLOW3R" and "MPLSoUND," two new albums from
Prince, as well as one from Bria Valente, for $11.98.--Sarah Mahoney
