Video news platform 1Cast has announced that CNBC, The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, Reuters and Agence-Presse France are among the initial partners for its service distributing updated news
clips on PCs and mobile devices.
The Kirkland, Wash.-based company's personalized news service lets consumers create personalized video playlists or "micro-casts" on specific topics of
their choosing. Users can also share these customized podcasts through email or blogs, social networking sites and other Web portals via the 1Cast embeddable video player.
1Cast, which is backed
by Eagle River Holdings, is available through the iPhone and iPod Touch devices as well as on Android-powered phones.--Mark Walsh
