The Interactive Advertising Bureau on Monday announced the release of new video player-ad interface guidelines.
Designed to simplify the buying and selling of digital video, they
outline methods for communication between video players and video ads, and provide specifications to facilitate the planning, production and implementation of digital video advertising.
VPAID is
the latest addition to the IAB's work to address specific concerns surrounding technology, metrics and consistent terminology.
This ongoing initiative has included the release of a digital video
overview document; digital video in-stream ad format guidelines and best practices; a digital video ad-serving template, and digital video in-stream ad metrics definitions -- all of which can be
