That was the release Omniture put out this morning, anyway. But attendees of MediaPost’s Search Insider Summit in Captiva, FL, already knew that,
because Ron Belanger was part of Thursday’s “Search As We See It†panel, and was even singled out by fellow panelist, Microsoft’s Brian Boland, for recently jumping to
Omniture from Yahoo, where he was vice president of agency development.

What summit attendees may not have known, was that in his new role, Belanger will oversee all of Omniture’s
agency efforts and will be responsible for managing strategic agency partnerships covering 46 of the top 50 interactive agencies as channel partners “with channel partnerships, which include agency relationships, generating tens of millions of dollars in revenue annually.†At
least that’s what Omniture’s release says.
It also says, “Belanger is a noted digital advertising expert and regularly speaks at many industry events,†but summit
attendees also already knew that.
