Internet TV company Revision3 has unveiled the latest version of its site, featuring a more streamlined design, larger video player and expanded customization. In addition to having a bigger screen,
the new player also allows users to pop out a video to a separate window or opt for "theater" mode, darkening the area around the screen.
The company, which uses peer-to-peer
technology to distribute legal, professionally produced programs, says it's also easier now to search for particular show episodes and get more information about show hosts via links to their pages on
Facebook or other social networks. Revision3 has also started a Twitter directory for its hosts and added their Twitter feeds to their pages on the video site.
In regard to programming, the
company announced the debut of JV's World, a new show featuring San Francisco radio personality JV, and a new weekly series from Rooftop Comedy highlighting the best stand-up comedy from Rooftop's 20
partner clubs around the world. Web measurement firm Quantcast estimates that Revision3.com's monthly U.S. traffic at 243,000, with its audience skewing 73% male. --Mark Walsh
