Asked by an audience member what’s holding up the online video advertising marketplace from being bigger, Interpublic’s Brian Wieser quoted the champ, Yogi Berra: “The fallacy is all wrong.â€
“Who says it should be more? Or it should be less,†Wieser quipped, sucking even more air out of the room at OMMA Video, as attendees tried to grapple with an intellectual approach to the media and advertising marketplace. (Is Wieser the Barack Obama of Madison Avenue? He’s got my vote.)
One reason why the online video ad market is smaller than some people think it should be, Wieser ventured, is that it is far more efficient at doing things than say, TV is.
