Brill On The New York Times: 'Not A Terrific Strategy'

How does he know? Well, recently, his law student daughter was sitting around the breakfast nook reading the paper online, when Brill tossed her the print edition, and said, "Here's the real New York Times."

 

She said, thanks, but no thanks, and that she preferred to read it online.

 

The problem, Brill said, is that the Times gives her the online version for free, and “worse than that,” is raising the price of its print edition.

 

"Not a terrific strategy," he surmised.
