Free Isn't What It Used To Be (It's Actually $26.99)

So I got OMMA Panel moderator Terrence Kawaja’s quip about the Kindle wrong. It wasn’t Steve Brill’s book that he was referring to. It was actually Chris Anderson’s forthcoming new book, “Free,” which happens ot be selling for $26.99 via Kindle.

“My comment was that Chris Anderson's new book Free: The Past and Future of a Radical Price discusses pay models and concludes that "anything that becomes digital will become free".  I noted the seeming incongruity in that the book was coming out in July, would be available on the Kindle and retailed for $26.99.

That’s very different. So apologies to Kawaja, Anderson and Brill, and this just goes to prove why professional journalism is worth the price of admission, but blogs will probably remain, er, free.
