A division
of the rep firm for ABC's owned-and-operated stations has a deal to take on sales duties for another digital billboard in Times Square. The rep agreement is for a nearly 800-square-foot digital
billboard just installed on a renovated building on the north end of the square.
The umbrella ABC National Television Sales also represents what's billed as the "ABC SuperSign" outside ABC studios
in Times Square -- as well as other diverse inventory from online to in-store to screens inside golf carts, as well as ABC's O&Os.
The deal to rep the new digital sign -- which is capable of
running an array of spots and other types of promotions -- is with the owner of the renovated Crowne Plaza Hotel. ABC said the sign is the first in Times Square to use Mediamesh technology, allowing
for split-screen messaging so two spots can run at the same time.
The sign also employs a dynamic so people inside the hotel can see through it onto the street.
