Fandango Goes Big With 'G.I. Joe'

Movie ticket-selling service Fandango is running a full-page mobile ad for the first time on its iPhone site to promote the Aug. 7 release of Paramount Pictures' "GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra." The takeover unit, which launches automatically when someone visits the Fandango iPhone site, was created by Crisp Wireless and invites people to play the "Joe v. Cobra Challenge" game for a chance to win $3,000. The Fandango site also allows users to find local movie listings and showtimes. --Mark Walsh
