Aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, truPULSE provides an RSS feed-based Web-monitoring application for tracking the buzz about the respective companies across social networks.
The starting price -- $500 monthly -- gives companies the ability to identify up to 20,000 "pieces of content" monthly across social media sites, from blog posts to tweets on Twitter.
The Web application, truPULSE, takes about 24 hours to set up. An ecommerce engine that launches at the end of the month will allow potential customers to go online and sign up without help from tech support, according to Blake Cahill, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Visible Technologies. "We have traditionally worked with large Fortune 2000 brands trying to glean information from market research," he says, noting that the starting price has been six figures and up.
The new tool is for agencies and SMBs that want to grab information and track the buzz quickly. It provides the tools at a price that supports small agencies, so marketers can manage real-time conversations by listening in to market and consumer attitudes from media, video, images, blogs, Twitter and RSS feed in 12 languages.
Marketers also can track the tone of the conversations, uncover research trends and compare issues, as well as identify crises and customer service issues. The tool provides the ability to share posts on Facebook, MySpace, Digg, Delicious, Twitter, or email.
Aside from the product release, Cahill says the company took an opportunity during the introduction to relaunch the entire product suite, realigning it with traditional stages of social media.
Powered by the truCAST engine, the platform includes truVOICE, previously called TruCast. The flagship product is an enterprise-class platform with advanced data collection, cross-departmental engagement workflow, approvals and tracking of social media conversations.
The truSEARCH tools is a repository of social media data that intuitively investigate what is important, with key-phrase drilldown, topic discovery and conceptual search functionality. Then there's truINSIGHT and truREPUTATION, too.
