Restaurant chain Johnny Rockets has declared September "National Shake Month" and is introducing a Cherry Kool-Aid shake in partnership with Kraft, among other promotional efforts.
The
special shake flavor will be available through Oct. 19 at all of the chain's U.S. locations, and supported by in-store displays.
"Finding a new way to package and present our fans' preferred
flavor is something we're really excited about, and we think Johnny Rockets is just the outlet for putting a new twist on this timeless favorite," said Kool-Aid senior brand manager Gregory Nesmith,
in announcing the promotion.
Following this shake promotion, Johnny Rockets plans to launch a year-round Web page dedicated to shake trivia, history and online specials. A "Show Us Your Shake"
promotion in which guests demonstrate a favorite dance move in exchange for a half-price shake or malt is also planned.
Johnny Rockets has about 280 corporate and franchise-owned restaurants in
29 states and 11 countries, including units in Six Flags amusement parks and aboard Royal Caribbean cruise ships. --Karlene Lukovitz
