Maxus Names New CEO, COO

Louis Jones

Group M's Maxus media agency has a new senior executive lineup.

Veteran Havas Digital executive Louis Jones will become chief executive officer for North America for Maxus. At the same time, current CEO Carla Loffredo will become the agency's first chief operating officer of North America.

Jones will oversee all Maxus activities in the U.S. and Canada, which has more $700 million in billings. Jones will report to Maxus Worldwide CEO Kelly Clark; Loffredo will report to Jones.

Jones had served as director of global service excellence for Havas Digital in Madrid. Previously, he had worked at other Havas units -- MPG and Media Contacts. His client list included Vonage, ING Direct, Fidelity, Royal Caribbean, Goodyear, Volkswagen, McDonald's and Air France.

Loffredo has been at Maxus since 2005, the year it started. Before that, she had been at Mindshare, where she was strategic planning director overseeing clients such as Merrill Lynch, Rolex, De Beers and KPMG. Before Mindshare, she worked at Young & Rubicam as group media director for various accounts, including General Foods, Manufacturers Hanover, Oil of Olay and Motorola.

Loffredo was director of media for Lipton while at Unilever. Previously, as the director of brand communications at JWT/NY, she oversaw a department responsible for integrated communications planning for a diverse client base.

Maxus is one of four global WPP media agency networks within GroupM, along with MediaCom, Mediaedge:cia and Mindshare.
