Media General Inc. is adding its furlough days for employees, taking on five more due to ad slumps, per the
Richmond Times-Dispatch. The new round of furloughs brings the total to 15 days of
unpaid time for Media General employees. Media General has about 5,000 employees. The company owns 21 daily newspapers and 18 television stations, mainly in the Southeast.
