MetroPCS Staging Mock Demos In N.Y.

  • September 30, 2009
Wireless carrier MetroPCS is set to stage a series of mock demonstrations around New York City on Oct. 1 in a program the company is calling "Positive Picketing."

In eight high-traffic areas (including Times Square, Grand Central Terminal and the Staten Island ferry terminal), people will stage what looks like a typical labor strike or protest.

The signs carried by the "protestors," however, will include positive messages such as "OMG Unlimited. I'll Burn Out My Fingers."--Aaron Baar
