Pizza Hut continues to create new consumer involvement opportunities by announcing news about its "twintern." The internship was created this past summer to put a young, social media-savvy person in
charge of tweeting with the brand's Twitter followers and assisting with other social media activities.
Pizza Hut has now announced that the twintern, a University of North Carolina-Chapel
Hill student named Alexa Robinson, has been offered the job full-time, and has accepted.
The promotional hook: Pizza Hut is asking the online social community to submit "the craziest or most
off-the-wall idea" for an official title for the new position between now and Nov. 30. To submit, users post to @pizzahut on Twitter and tag their suggestions with #PizzaHutTitle. (Official rules
are at pizzahut.com/newsroom.aspx).
Robinson will select her favorite suggestion and it will become her new official job title. The winner will receive free pizza for a year. --Karlene
