Asked by OMMA Ad Nets moderator, and MediaPost senior writer Wendy Davis, whether younger people, especially kids, are less concerned about online privacy issues as older users, Pace’s Dwyer says she’s always surprised when teaching undergrads that they have never heard about Facebook’s insidious Beacon plan.

But when she explains it to them, they are equally as outraged as older privacy advocates have been.

“The first time I did this last year, some of them flipped out so much, that they actually committed Facebook suicide and they removed their Facebook profiles. It was pretty dramatic,” Dwyer said.
