Facebook Investor: No IPO In 2010

Facebook investor and board member Jim Breyer insists the company has no plans to go public this year. "We are not planning a near term IPO," (near term as in 2010) Breyer told attendees at the DLD Conference in Munich Germany this week. Yuri Milner of DST -- which just invested millions into the top social network added: "We have permanent capital, we don't have to return money to investors so we can go long term ... So we're not planning our exit."

At least according to All Facebook, "Many individuals were expecting the company to go public later this year." Zynga, the largest developer on the Facebook Platform, also accepted a large investment -- $180 million -- from DST earlier this year, which means both companies don't have an immediate need to going public.
