YouTube Rolls Out Mobile Ads

YouTube has begun a broad rollout of advertising to its mobile site -- displaying static banners at the top of its m.youtube.com home page, browsing pages and search results pages. They sell on a flat-fee basis. The initial rollout is in the U.S. and Japan, reports Adweek. However, YouTube won't show ads within videos played on phones or the iPhone.
