OAAA Chief Calls For Out-of-Home 'Unity,' Cites Digital, Place-Based Nets

Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) President-CEO Nancy Fletcher this morning called for unity in the out-of-home advertising industry, during her opening remarks at the Traffic Audit Bureau (TAB)/OAAA Out-of-Home Media Conference & Marketing Expo in Phoenix. Fletcher called for a summit where all of the associations and organizations representing the out-of-home advertising industry, including digital place-based media, could meet and determine future areas of cooperation and collaboration.“If we’re smart, we’ll view the big picture,� said Fletcher. “Out of home media, no matter what its form or delivery method, is competing ... against other media such as broadcast and print.�
