Before we proceed, check out Toyota's
viral-video wannabe for its Sienna minivan, a/k/a, the "Swagger Wagon."
Automotive News' West Coast editor Mark Rechtin sees the spot as mined from the same vein of "delicious irony" that has granddad Roger Daltry still belting out "hope I die
before I get old." And he appreciates the whimsy of it all.
"Buying a minivan is a capitulatory purchase," he writes "It is throwing in the baby wipes at
adolescent behavior, a final admission of parental responsibility. Face it, you can't look cool in a crumb-cruncher collector."
A self-described DINK, Rechtin checked
out the PCness of the site with three "mom-friends" and also found the rap parody is getting chuckles on blackandmarriedwithkids.com. Oh, and don't miss the sidesplitting sidebar
interviews with the "too-full-of-themselves parents," he writes.
