NBA Finals Hit Uptick In Ad Sales

Ad sales for the NBA Finals that begin June 3 on ABC are outpacing last year's championship series, reports Sports Business Journal. ESPN had sold about 95% of its ad inventory. Ed Erhardt, president of customer marketing and sales for ESPN/ABC Sports, says: "We have seen an increase in spending from almost every category." He says most units -- 60 in all -- are sold. A 30-second spot is estimated by experts as roughly $400,000.
