Ford Making Graphics Available For All Of Its Cars And Trucks

Ford is extending a custom graphics offering it developed for the new Fiesta subcompact to its entire line of cars and trucks by the end of the summer, Brent Snavely reports. Among the 50 or so choices currently available at www.fordcustomgraphics.com are cute flowers, artsy dots or stripes and funky tattoo-like prints.

The graphics cost from $200 to $1,200 and will be installed at Ford's dealerships. Visitors spend an average of 15 to 20 minutes on the Web site; there have been more than 10,000 hits so far.

Jim Abraham, Ford's licensed accessories manager, sees the offering as responding to a growing trend among young consumers to customize products like iPhones. "We discovered that this program has a home beyond Fiesta," he says.
