ESPN, StubHub Team On Mobile Ticketing

ESPN has partnered with ticket resale marketplace StubHub to launch a new mobile ticketing service on both the ESPN ScoreCenter application as well as the sports network's mobile Web site.

The StubHub Mobile Ticketing Center will allow users to see updated ticket prices and available inventory while browsing ESPN content on their handsets. Links across ESPN's mobile properties will connect fans to the StubHub Ticket Center for purchase, where they can either use their stored StubHub account or PayPal or credit card accounts.

The mobile commerce initiative builds on the two companies' existing business relationship. StubHub was among launch advertisers on the five local sites ESPN launched in April in Boston, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles. --Mark Walsh
