IPhone Demand Exceeding Expectations

  • June 16, 2010
Pre-orders for the iPhone 4 have exceeded expectations. According to Apple, the company and its carrier partners took more than 600,000 pre-orders for the new iPhone, while AT&T said its orders alone were 10 times higher than for the 3GS last year.

As such, AT&T has suspended pre-sales of the iPhone 4.

"Given this unprecedented demand and our current expectations for our iPhone 4 inventory levels when the device is available June 24, we're suspending pre-ordering today in order to fulfill the orders we've already received," read a statement issued by AT&T Wednesday.
