Girl Beer has hired a familiar new “girl” to star
in its latest campaign promoting its light beer brand.
Longtime character actress Peggy Miley, most recently known for memorable roles on “Stranger Things” and “Curb Your
Enthusiasm,” stars in a new social campaign for the flavored light beer.
The series of social spots centers around the brand’s search for their new intern, which, after a mix-up
with a younger “girl” also named Peggy, results in Miley getting the gig.
The “80-year-old ex-meatpacker and hyper-locally renowned bridge player,” apparently had
“always dreamed of working for a startup brand, especially one in beverage.”
In one spot, shot in a single camera mocumentary style and seen here, Peggy is seen in her internship interview. When asked where she sees herself in five years, she replies, “Hopefully someplace with
better parking than here.” Her biggest weakness? “Authority… and also people who ask stupid questions.”

The spot then cuts to her adjusting to the new internship,
first by arguing with Alexa, proceeding to complain about the office temperature. and then inquiring as to the flexibility of her “flexible” hours, as she needs to leave for her bridge
game.
Additional spots from the women-helmed brand roll out this month, including one celebrating Girl Beer’s official partnership with the WNBA’s Dallas Wings, another
commemorating the brand’s entry into the Minnesota market, and another that serves as a call-to-action for consumers to help create the brand’s first jingle.
Founded in 2024, Girl
Beer recently expanded into 15 new states through Walmart, Whole Foods, Kroger, Albertsons, Hy-Vee and Cub Foods. The 95 calorie, 4.2% ABV beer contains zero added sugar and is available in
flavors like Pineapple Yuzu, Tangerine, Peach and Strawberry Watermelon.
