Google's woes in China have not dampened its lead in Asia-Pacific, according to the comScore Media Metrix report for May 2010 released Monday.
Google Sites led as the most-visited property in
Asia-Pacific reaching 270 million unique visitors during the month, more than half the online population in the region. Tencent led engagement with visitors averaging 6.5 hours, consuming 716 pages of
content and visiting the property an average of 39 times during May.
Facebook also had strong engagement, with visitors spending 3.5 hours on the social networking site and visiting more than
21 times throughout the month.
Microsoft sites were the second most visited properties in Asia-Pacific with 218.5 million visitors; and Yahoo came in No. 3 with 205 million visitors. Baidu.com
and Tencent took the No. 4 and the No. 5 most-visited sites with 177 million visitors and 174 million visitors, respectively.
