Initial reports that Google services -- including Web searches -- in mainland China were fully blocked on Thursday turned out to be false, according to Josh Lowensohn. The misreported outage came from
a glitch in Google's reporting service availability chart. Lowensohn explains the sequence of events that led to the misinterpretation.
