HEADLINERS THIS WEEK:

ROBIN WEBSTER, President & CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), has been granted a leave of absence by the IAB's Executive Committee. The Executive Committee has named Board member, and long-time advertising industry executive GREG STUART to head the IAB in the interim.

ALLISON CORSON-MELLON, who has been Western Sales Director at ValueClick Inc., is being upped to the post of Vice President of Western Sales.

HAL MENTLIK rejoins CMP Media LLC as the Inside Sales Manager for the Technology Solutions Group representing Computer Reseller News, VarBusiness, ChannelWeb and XChange. He had been Eastern Sales Manager for Chicago based on-line ad network B2BWorks.

Zenith Optimedia Group, the joint venture of the Publicis Groupe and the Cordiant Communications Group, have named their top executives. JOHN PERRISS, formerly the chairman and chief executive at Zenith, becomes chief executive at Zenith Optimedia in London. SIMON LLOYD, who had served as chairman at Optimedia, becomes chairman at Zenith Optimedia, chief executive for the European operations at Zenith Optimedia and chief executive at Optimedia. RICH HAMILTON now has the title of chief executive for American operations at Zenith Optimedia in New York after having a similar position at Zenith. STEVE KING, who had been chief executive for European operations at Zenith, becomes chief executive at Zenith and director for business and strategy development at Zenith Optimedia.

BRIAN MUNCE was named Account Director for Red Bull North America at Lunch Advertising.

BaseSix, a strategic marketing agency, announced three staff changes. TIM DRISCOLL, formerly Senior Technical Architect at BaseSix, has been promoted to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO); CAMERON DEERY, formerly of Axis Communications, has been appointed as Vice President of Sales and Marketing; and DAN BRADLEY joins the company as Lead Software Engineer from WizeTools.

LARRY STRUMWASSER has been appointed President of MMT Sales Inc. Strumwasser has been MMT's Vice President, Director of Sales for the PostNewsweek Station Group since May 2000.

RINO SCANZONI has been named President of Broadcast, The Media Edge (TME) North America. Scanzoni is the former executive vice president and managing director of MediaVest Entertainment, a division of MediaVest North America, where he served until December 2000.

JAY WESTMARK has been appointed President at ImarcsGroup, LLC. Most recently, Westmark was Executive Vice President of Business Development for Homes.com, Inc.

TOM FLYNN, formerly a Sales Director at Engage Media, has joined as a partner in the sales and consulting firm of 10x Partners, Inc.

BARBARA WILCK has been named consumer marketing director at Real Simple magazine. She had been subscription marketing director at Wenner Media LLC.

Hodgson/Meyers has added two people to its staff: ANTHONY PAI, new media manager, and JOHN KENNEDY, new business specialist.
