Mayer, who led marketing communications at Subaru of America, starts Oct. 4. Before joining Subaru in 2007 Mayer was SVP and account director at Colby and Partners, where he oversaw Suzuki. Mayer also held marketing positions at Mitsubishi and Hyundai
