Patrick Mork, CMO of app store Getjar, explained that the company tries to offer the best of both worlds by allowing publishers to package their mobile sites as apps for users that don't necessarily have smartphones but want a similar experience. Getjar's solution lets them access Facebook and other mobile sites as icons on their homescreens, just like an app. "If I have a Motorola Razr, then I can still get an app experience," said Mork.
