Fairchild Publications has tapped Mary Murcko to serve as publisher of the recently purchased Elegant Bride. Murcko, previously associate publisher of fellow Fairchild titles W and W Jewelry, has already assumed her new role. "Mary's exemplary leadership skills and proven sales talent will be a great asset in building the franchise of Elegant Bride," said Fairchild president and CEO Mary Berner in a press release. Prior to arriving at W, Murcko spent five years in Bangkok as publisher and general manager for Hachette Filpacchi Post Company. In that role, she oversaw the Thai editions of Elle, Elle Décor, Cleo and BMW magazine. Before that, she was Self's beauty market manager and a senior advertising sales representative at New York magazine.
