Park who had been serving as head of LG Electronics North America since January 2010, succeeds James Shad in the post. Shad will leave the company next month. The reorganization, announced by Park on Tuesday, includes establishing separate U.S. sales and operations organizations for the company's Home Entertainment and Home Appliance business units.
As such, Jay Vandenbree, formerly senior vice president of sales for LGEUS, has been named head of the company's Home Entertainment Unit. At the same time, Sam Kim, who has held several product management positions in the U.S. and Canada for LG, has been named head of the Home Appliance Unit.
"This reorganization aligns with LG's drive for achieving success, which includes a commitment to uphold our culture of innovation paired with a business strategy focusing on our customers' ever-changing needs," said Park in a statement. "Change allows our company to grow and challenges us to achieve that success."
