    No one...?

I like Aaron, he's a good guy with a lot of knowledge. And I have respect for writers here at MediaPost, but making absolute statements about things other than death or taxes can lead to mis-reporting.

We've been doing SEO since 1999 and basic SEO is not only easy, but effective. I know not everyone will agree with this, but our many years of results have demonstrated this to be true, at least for us.

As far as Google getting complex, I have to agree, but if you don't try to do much beyond basic SEO, it won't affect you. Google has problems and it may lstem from them looking in the review mirror and worring about what they see.

If they just took care of business and avoiding doing evil, they would do just fine. As it is, they are scewing more things up than improving them, often fixing things that are not broken, in my opinion as both an advertiser, user, and publisher.
